The Listening Post is a community interest company and non-profit business building a better community for all, with no exclusions.

At the core, we are a one-to-one counselling service that offers low rate fees for low income individuals, or free sessions where funding has been secured.

We also run training courses run by the highly qualified teacher/counsellor Ri Punt MBACP, which are aimed at both counsellors and the general public.

K.I.T.E (Kids In Together Empower) club is for children of school ages and is aimed to help children to recognise and cope with their emotions and build better mental health and well-being for their future.

We are just securing new premises to start a training and community well-being hub, where other organisations can book time to support the community. And a place where we can continue to offer more of our specialist services and training.

The Listening Post is run by founder, Alison Cunningham MBACP alongside two staff members, 20 volunteer student counsellors and 14 volunteer receptionists.
